Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • In collaboration with Principal and network office leadership, develop network office annual sales plan and lead the execution of productivity initiatives from plan.

  • Analyze sales at a network office level, identify gaps/opportunities and co-create solutions with field leaders .

  • Drive planning and sales results through local infrastructure leveraging other Performance Team members as appropriate.

    * Consult and support advisors as they navigate practice management decisions.

  • Problem-solve a broad set of complex network office challenges and drive to a resolution.

  • Advance corporate initiatives related to product/planning/productivity at local network office level.

  • Consult to Northwestern Mutual's sales cycle, products and planning approach.

  • Consult to NM value proposition and convey to advisors.

  • Establish and maintain strategic Career Advisor relationships.

  • Assist Network office in recruiting and retention of both experienced advisors and career changers

  • Provide subject matter expertise back to organizational projects/priorities.

  • Go-to expert for enterprise strategic sales initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in business, marketing, or finance

  • Minimum 5 years (7 years preferred) financial services sales experience to include high level consultation on sales strategies, product features, and planning platforms.

  • FINRA Series 7 & Life Health License required or obtain within 6 months of hire.

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to navigate multiple priorities, ensuring deadlines are met and high-quality work is delivered

  • Understanding of NM's products and services preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to influence and affect change.

  • Proven ability to thrive in a collaborative work environment

  • Exceptional presentation and interpersonal skills

  • Up to 40% travel required

This position has been classified as a Registered Representative under NMIS guidelines and requires fingerprinting.

Required Certifications:

Series 6 - FINRA, Series 7 - FINRA, SIE - FINRA

Compensation Range:

Pay Range - Start:

$100,030.00

Pay Range - End:

$185,770.00

Northwestern Mutual pays on a geographic-specific salary structure and placement in the salary range for this position will be determined by a number of factors including the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; the scope, complexity as well as the cost of labor in the market; and other conditions of employment. At Northwestern Mutual, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
