Manages patient care of an assigned group of patients in accordance with the philosophy and policies of the appropriate division. Nurses at Northside are professionals committed to patients/families and all members of the Healthcare team. Our nursing practice reflects the values of collaboration, communication, coordination, integration, and empowerment.

REQUIRED:

  1. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing. (See Knowledge Base, Section D, Professional Attributes.)
  2. Demonstrated proficiency in skills applicable to designated area within probationary period.
  3. Certified in cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

PREFERRED:

  1. National certification in specialty area.

KNOWLEDGE BASE

A. Maintains professional nursing license.

B. Is committed to professional growth through education: degree pursuit specialty certification continuing education expanding the body of nursing knowledge

C. Acts as a change agent, rooted in research findings and basic science.
