Job Description
The Director of Client Data Management in Enterprise Technology is responsible for data governance, data stewardship, quality, and operational support for the Client Master Data domain, which is comprised of four distinct client masters.

In this role, the candidate will be responsible for leading the organization's efforts in maintaining high-quality Client master data to support the critical needs of all business units. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the master data strategy, execution, and governance space with a proven track record of successfully delivering transformational change and driving efficiency in complex organizational environments.

This is a people leadership role with the responsibility of championing a healthy team culture. This includes the ability to grow and motivate a team with a stakeholder-first mindset, that can provide proactive support, while also optimizing MDM and data governance practices. Building strong stakeholder partnerships with the ability to provide both strategic and tactical consultation is critical to the success of this role. Strong cross-functional relationships will be required to make data-driven business decisions aimed at growth / business optimization.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for Client Data Stewardship processes and data quality to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of client master data across all systems, which is currently comprised of four distinct client masters. Accountable for the fulfilment of client master data creation and update requests within the defined Service Level Agreement (SLA).
  • Lead a team of Client Data Stewards, which is comprised of full-time team members and an offshore team. Manage relationship with offshore team vendor.
  • Enforce Client Data Governance policies, definitions, standards, and business rules.
  • Lead changes to the Client Data Governance framework, through partnership with key stakeholders, to meet business needs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and execute operational client data activities to support key business operations and analytical decision making.
  • Lead cross functional teams to standardize, manage and govern master data domain.
  • Monitor and evaluate Client Data Management performance and quality metrics and KPIs to measure effectiveness and identify improvement areas.
  • Partner with Product, Architecture and Engineering leadership to modernize existing capabilities to ensure frictionless experience for business users and stakeholders.
  • Build business stakeholder confidence in Client Master data through a proactive focus on data quality, responsiveness to stakeholder needs, and by developing trusted partnerships.
  • Program management for the Client Data Management efforts in support of projects that have a client master data dependency.
  • Lead transformation of current Client Data Management organization's operating model to become automation-led for increased efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and efficiency by building excitement and buy-in from the teams.
  • Stay abreast of key automotive industry trends, emerging technologies, data governance and MDM best practices and recommend strategies to enhance MDM maturity.


Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in master data management, data governance, or information quality management roles, with at least 5 years of experience in a leadership role.
  • Excellent leadership skills, ability to think and act strategically and make strong decisions.
  • Deep knowledge of MDM concepts, principles, and best practices, including data modeling, visualization, integration, and data quality management.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading MDM initiatives in large, complex organizations, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Experience building and managing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels in the organization.
  • Experience working with MDM tools and technologies, such as MDM hubs, data integration platforms, and data quality tools

USD 142,100.00 - 236,800.00 per year

Compensation:

Compensation includes a base salary of $142,100.00 - $236,800.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
