Responsible for managing the day to day aspects of the assigned shift. Directly supervises teams consisting of hourly employees including leads, equipment operators, forklift operators. Coordinates with and assists other department leaders. Accountable for safety, quality, and productivity results for the shift
Duties and Responsibilities:
Hire, schedule, train, supervise and motivate employees on shift for the production department
Implement and monitor adherence to health/safety policies and procedures for the shift
Implement and monitor adherence to food safety and quality policies and procedures for the shift
Monitors and manages people and line performance to performance standards. Recognizes performance issues, identifies root cause and implements sustainable solutions
Develop and implement standard work for operations including start-up, shut-down, changeover, equipment operation, and housekeeping.
Leads continuous improvement projects
Maintain accurate records, data inputs, and process controls to ensure accurate reporting of performance, downtime, inventory
Effectively communicates with other department leaders to ensure smooth execution of daily production plans and prompt resolution of problems.

Technical Requirements - Education, Areas of Knowledge and Experience:
5+ years of supervisory experience in the food industry
Strong leadership abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent coaching skills
Strong technical knowledge of equipment, products, and processes
Quality orientation and high attention to detail
Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations
