The College of Engineering consists of nine academic departments and 40+ research centers, which along with the Dean's Office, has 2800 faculty, academic and university staff, employees in training, graduate, and undergraduate employees. The College has an annual operating budget of 215M from multiple funding sources. The College has nine buildings totaling approximately 820,045 square feet from which it operates its classroom instruction, instructional and research laboratories, and administrative offices.
The Senior Facilities Design position is an integral part of the College of Engineering (CoE) Facilities Group. The successful candidate will primarily focus on leading instructional and research remodeling projects for the CoE. The specific tasks can include: programming, preliminary design, furniture specifications, estimating, purchasing, and project management.
This position will report to the Associate Director of Facilities and collaborate closely with the entire Facilities Team. This position will also interact with Campus Facilities, Planning and Management, Physical Plant, Outside Vendors, CoE Dean's office, faculty/staff, and students to ensure that projects are designed and constructed as specified.

Required:
Minimum 5 years of project experience assessing, designing, and executing construction projects.
- Proficient in AutoCAD.
- Ability to work independently as well as effectively collaborate within a diverse team environment to complete tasks.
- Must be able to effectively allocate time and resources independently to meet deadline expectations.
- A strong problem solver who will provide creative and complete resolutions to issues.
- This person must demonstrate strong customer service and organizational skills, as well as professional and courteous written/oral communication.
Preferred:
-Project experience in higher education instructional and/or laboratory spaces.
-Bluebeam and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Teams).

It is anticipated this position requires work be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location.
