Secondary Operations Tech-2nd Shift

Job Description
Position Title: Secondary Operations Tech
Wage: $18.85- $25.33/hour
Shift: 2nd
Hours: Monday-Friday, 2pm-10pm
QPS Employment Group is hiring a Secondary Operations Tech for a company Manitowoc, WI. This Secondary Operations Tech will provide utility support in areas such as inspection and testing and secondary machine operations located throughout the company. They will facilitate the movement of work-in-process and finished goods inventory with its related transactions and inspection activities, as well as provide occasional support to the Logistics Support operations. This is an associate to hire opportunity.
Secondary Operations Tech Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Operate equipment needed for the movement of work-in-process and finished goods
- Process transactions, as per applicable to accurately and timely record results of operational activity, including performing and maintaining accurate material transactions through the ERP System
- Process non-conforming product as per applicable quality standards and job instructions to ensure non-conforming product does not ship to a customer
- Effective storage and retrieval of materials; involves the use racking and floor locations to optimize the available space with the least handling possible and first-in first-out turn-over of materials
- Support team building activities; regular attendance at team meetings, active participation in team activities such as problem-solving
- Ensure the cleanliness and neatness of surrounding area in addition to exercising the performance of all duties according to safe operation procedures in order to avoid creating an injury hazard for self or others
- Support tasks as required to address peak workloads or personnel absences; may require fill-in on a temporary basis in any area of the department
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor for additional experience and/or training or refinement skills or in preparation for advancement
- Participate in Continual Improvement Process
- Follow EHS procedures
Secondary Operations Tech Requirements:
- Ability to read, write, and make calculations
- Preferred 1-2 years of experience in an industrial or service industry, but will be trained on the job
