Job Description

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Clerk, Expedite associate is responsible for picking and packing orders that have expedited service level requirements. Associate must perform within the pre-defined SLA (service level agreement). The position requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail and a broad knowledge of all operational departments within the distribution center.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
* Locates and pulls items stored on multileveled racks in the warehouse, based on a RF device direction and picks product from the proper locations via powered equipment.
* Packs and secures items using the provided packing materials, and to customer specifications.
* Utilizes High Jump computer system to ensure accuracy of all orders.
* Loads packages with an RF device.
* Bench testing a broad assortment of product prior to shipment.
* Processes and prints customer orders to the warehouse.
* Additional duties as assigned.


Mental Functions:
Refers to positions where the incumbent performs the required tasks independently. The incumbent may perform duties in the areas of technical support, design and analysis, and can be required to make recommendations. The person holding such a position may also exercise supervisory responsibilities, but not on a regular and ongoing basis. Work is performed under the general supervision of an immediate supervisor, who reviews the completed work in order to assess the degree of judgment and compliance with standards.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Warehouse environment:
o Hot conditions during summer months and cold conditions in the winter months.
o Noise level varies and can be loud o Work with and/or around moving mechanical parts and equipment
o Very fast-paced environment

Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend English.

Travel is not required.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Entry level; zero years of relevant work experience
  • Basic proficiency with standard business applications such as the internet and email
