Job Type:RegularThe Advanced Shipping and Receiving position is responsible for the shipping/receiving area and requires the loading/unloading trucks, inventory, and customer/hauler communication along with operating tractor/trailer both in yard and on roadways.

What's involved in this role:

We are looking for a Shipping and Receiving Production Warehouse Worker in Little Chute, WI.

  • $25.81/hour Starting Rate
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am - 4pm
  • Double time on Sundays and holidays

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Accurately load finished product to ensure product integrity, including bulk load-outs.
  • Assist the Plant Supervisor in coordinating the production scheduling with the production staff to meet the needs of customer orders.
  • Maintain pallet inventory to meet the production schedule.
  • Assist the Plant Supervisor to ensure that the product is packaged and labeled correctly.
  • Accurately complete all necessary paperwork and submit to the office in a timely fashion.
  • Assist with month-end inventories.
  • Unload ingredients and supplies to ensure correct amounts and their integrity.
  • Put ingredients and supplies away following First- In-First-Out (FIFO) where applicable.
  • Appropriately and consistently utilize truck inspection forms.
  • Operate forklifts in a safe manner.
  • Assist in coordinating cooler organization and maintaining the cooler in good condition.
  • Assist in creating a safe working environment as well as attending safety meetings
  • Ensure warehouse is kept clean and organized.
  • Scale in/out trucks as needed.
  • Operate the Automatic Storage and Retrieval System.
  • Effectively utilize applications in the shipping and receiving department.

Little Chute Only:

  • Comply with all DOT hours of service and rules of the road.
  • Deliver merchandise to the appropriate location using the company vehicle; ensuring delivery receipt is signed by the receiver.
  • Report any issues with equipment to manager or supervisor.
  • Understand and comply with all Quality Assurance policies, immediately reporting any potential food safety issues to management.
  • Take trucks in for inspection, service, and maintenance.
  • Ensure diesel refrigerated units are adequately filled.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Safety Protocol
    • Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures.
    • Correct or report any observed safety hazards.
    • Support safety policies and programs.

What you need to join our team:

Education Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience Required:

  • Minimum one (1) year of shipping and receiving experience required.
  • Experience driving a truck and backing a trailer preferred. (Little Chute only)
  • Experience backing a trailer into a dock required. (Little Chute only)
  • Good mechanical aptitude required. (Little Chute only)
  • Slip Sheet Unit/Powerlift Jack operation preferred. (Little Chute only)

Certification/Licensure Required:

  • Forklift certification. (in-house training and certification provided)
  • Current Class A CDL with airbrake/tanker endorsement required. (Little Chute only)
  • Clean driving record required. (Little Chute only)
  • Medical Examiner Certification to drive truck required. (Little Chute only)

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Basic math plus fractions, decimals and percentages.

  • Ability to follow written, verbal and diagrammatic instructions; complete simple checklists and complete required documentation.
  • Basic computer operational skills; able to input and retrieve computerized information.
  • Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others and work to maintain constructive working relationships.

  • Our Little Chute, WI, plant is home to about 95 employees. This facility is a top manufacturer of IQF sticks that are supplied to the appetizer industry. Next to the plant is our well-known Simon's Specialty Cheese store, which has about 20 employees. Simon's is a Wisconsin-themed store, with everything from meats and cheese to clothing and craft spirits.
