Findorff is seeking an experienced Diesel and Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our Equipment Garage team. Primary duties include maintaining our equipment fleet to the highest standards through routine maintenance, assessments, and job readiness inspections as well as diagnosing and completing necessary repairs.


Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair heavy commercial construction machinery
  • Identify worn or defective parts and making necessary repairs
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical equipment
  • Operation of machinery as part of the assessment and job readiness process
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area and contribute to overall organization of the shop
  • Travel to jobsites to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment service requests as well as perform preventative maintenance

Qualifications:

  • 5 years' experience troubleshooting and repairing heavy construction equipment
  • Ability to communicate clearly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of organization
  • Ability to read and interpret machine schematics
  • Proficient with hydraulic and electrical systems
  • Valid driver license with dependable transportation
