JOB OVERVIEW
This individual will be responsible for the layout and design of customer projects for manufacturing.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process customer projects for design/layout for best manufacturing principles.
- Layout customer drawings for processing on lasers, punch, waterjet, and press breaks.
- Work with project managers to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Ensure proper document flow in a timely fashion to other areas of the organization for both internal and external customers.
- Drive / participate in process improvement activities for manufacturing.
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Basic manufacturing principles in sheet metal.
- Blueprint reading skills.
- Strong background in Solidworks or other 3-D Software.
- Fluent in Microsoft Excel, Office, and Outlook.
- Effective in developing and maintaining relationships.
- Highest level of ethical principles and standards.
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to lead multiple functions through effective planning and organizing.
- Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to influence others.
- High level of creativity.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Ideal candidate will have some experience with fabrication or machining.
- Prefer to have individual to be able to read and interpret drawings.
- Good references with excellent work attendance and attitude.
