Alterna Securities, Inc. – Investments Director – Houston, TX
Job Description: Investments Director positions offered by Alterna Securities, Inc. (Houston, TX). Review macroeconomic data and interpret market trends. Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly reports to the firm’s management, financial advisors, and clients. Assist in managing client relationships. Conduct periodic review of client’s portfolios to ensure the asset allocation meets the current investment objectives. Manage short duration investment portfolios and determine the asset allocation for the firm’s model portfolios. Evaluate and conduct due diligence on new investment products to broaden the firm’s product offering. Work with clients and investors primarily located in Latin America and other Spanish speaking countries.
Job Minimum Requirements: Must have at least a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field, and at least 5 years of experience in the job offered or at least 5 years of experience in financial investment in Latin American financial markets. Stated experience must include at least 5 years of experience in each of the following: working with institutional clients located in Mexico; working in asset management; performing economic and financial analysis; proficiency in Fixed Income and Equity markets; financial modeling; and working with Excel VB. Must be willing to travel 10% domestically and 20% internationally. Must be fluent in Spanish and English, both written and spoken.
