About the role:

CLA is looking to hire an HR Business Advisor for our Talent Solutions practice in Southern California. This role provides support and consultation to clients including compliance, employee life cycle transactions, HR policies/procedures, data analytics, and employee relations. They also support the development of internal practices and lead internal trainings/information sessions, as well as providing light business development work.

As an HR Business Advisor, you will:

* Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies, practices, and employee handbooks to maintain compliance. Augments knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.


* Contribute materially towards the implementation of Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) and ensures that HRIS and reporting requirements are accurate and up to date.


* Collaborate with client department managers to understand skills and competencies required for job openings.


* Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, and managers. Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.


* Perform complex or nonroutine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development. Participates in meetings surrounding high level company strategy, such as organizational design, compensation planning, or succession planning. Trains Coordinator levels on regular tasks of those jobs and delegates tasks as appropriate.

What you will need:

  • 3 years of experience in HR experience
  • Bachelor's degree required (combination of education, training, and experience may be considered a degree equivalent)
  • SHRM-CP or equivalent certification required (or ability to obtain within 12 months)
  • Strong computer skills in HRIS administration
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office products

The wage range for this position is: 79,395.00 -119,093.00 USD Annual.

Factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and knowledge may impact position of pay within the range.
