Overview

Element has an opportunity for a PCB Technician III to join our rapidly expanding team. As a member of the operations team, the PCB Technician III position performs a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the PCB Testing department and insures timely and accurate test results under minimal direct supervision. The technician positions must be proficient in a number of core business skills including but not limited to compliance to established safety rules, code of conduct, and company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
    Can review and understand customer specifications and / or statements of work to prepare samples and set-up testing
  • Requires minimal supervision and technical input from the Department Managers and Senior Technicians
  • Possesses the ability to mentor and train technicians who have less experience through effective communication of technical data
  • Possesses the ability to transfer technical knowledge/requirements and successfully satisfy and meet customer expectations
Skills / Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of laboratory safety
  • HS diploma or GED certificate preferred. College or vocational school coursework welcomed
  • In-depth understanding of testing concepts related to printed circuit boards (PCBs) and / or printed circuit assemblies (PCAs)
  • Familiarity with IPC test methods and specifications, such as IPC-TM-650, IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610, IPC 6012, etc., valid training certifications, as applicable, preferred
  • Must possess 5-10+ years of experience with PCBs/PCAs, including experience in preparing microsection / cross-section samples
  • Ability to inspect / analyze and compile testing data from the tests performed into a test report
  • Possess strong computer skills
