Compensation: $45,000 /yr
Worksite Location: South Campus

Overview / Job Summary:
The EdTech Specialist role falls within the Instructional Technologies & Academic Support domain, overseeing operations within the COLAB space in tandem with the Instructional Technologist. Additionally, this position provides crucial support for the Canvas Catalog, focusing on non-credit Tier 1 assistance, Blueprint creation, faculty training, reporting, and Digital Badging/Credentials.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will vary, but are not limited to:
 
  • Enroll students seamlessly into courses on the Canvas Catalog platform.
  • Deliver comprehensive instructor training sessions, offer technical support for the Canvas Catalog, and track participation metrics.
  • Extract Canvas Catalog reports for non-credit project managers and administration.
  • Offer essential support for non-credit training sessions, and program implementation.
  • Assist the Program Directors in the development and support of non-credit courses.
This position will oversee COLAB management alongside the Instructional Technologist, including: Supervising student support, maintaining training and troubleshooting equipment, including AR and VR technologies, Identifying and exploring emerging technology trends, providing technical support for the podcast and AV studio, conducting comprehensive training sessions for faculty and students on facility utilization, and organizing events and promotional activities to enhance facility engagement.

Education:
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree or technical certificate in a related field, or equivalent experience in higher education or learning system settings.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience with Learning Management Systems.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with virtual technology and web conferencing platforms.
  • Preferred: Experience with virtual and augmented reality technologies.
  • Desirable: Previous training experience in an educational setting.
  • interpersonal, and the ability to communicate effectively with others to arrive at solutions to complex problems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Teams.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills to support a diverse community of learners.
  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
