Brand new position with a growing company!

Join the All-Star HR line up as the HR Assistant!  TCI has an amazing roster of people that work hard every day for our Team.  Our rockstars deliver amazing results which keeps us growing!   We are looking for someone with positive energy, enthusiasm, amazing attention to detail, impeccable confidentiality, strong customer service, and a proactive approach to task management to help us hit it out of the park!

This position will contribute to the overall success of the HR department by providing day-to-day operations and administrative support, maintaining accurate records, performing these duties with confidentiality, professionalism, and a sense of urgency.

The duties involved support a broad range of HR activities including responsibilities in recruitment, onboarding, personnel file maintenance, time and attendance, leave tracking, and coordinating employee activities.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assists in helping recruitment process by coordinating logistics of interviews, coordination of pre-employment activities.  We need more All-Stars on our team!
  • Assists in onboarding process by preparing new hire paperwork and welcome gifts.  We want to greet our new All-Stars with a strong welcome to the Team!
  • Coordinates and conducts new hire orientation for all positions. Our goal is to make sure that everyone is set up for success!
  • Administers the time and attendance program for all employees and prepares disciplinary notices per policy and sends them the Sr. HR Generalist for review. That attention to detail will really shine here!
  • Tracks leaves (once approved) according to the employee handbook and applicable laws, including: FMLA, Wisconsin FMLA, and other leaves.
  • Maintains personnel files (electronic and paper) and employee information in accordance with government regulations.  Organization is key!
  • Prepares monthly employee acknowledgement information – birthdays, anniversaries, new employees, etc.  Celebrating milestones and achievements is important to TCI’s culture!
  • Assists with researching, planning, and helping to coordinate a variety of employee relations activities such as company social events and awards programs.  Let the fun begin!

Skills and Abilities Required
  • Strong listening, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with the strictest confidence.
  • Ability to learn quickly, manage time effectively, quickly adapt to change, have the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced working environment, and approach their job and interactions with others with a positive attitude.
  • Effectively handles multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to effectively interact with diverse personalities, be tactful and professional.
  • Attention to detail, strong organization, and team building skills while consistently meeting deadlines are requirements of the position.
  • Strong working knowledge of current Microsoft Office products

Education & Experience Requirements
This person must have one of the following:
  • a minimum a High School Diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years relevant HR experience
  •  2 year degree in Human Resources 
  • Partial completion of 2 year degree in Human Resources for an internship role in this position.
  • High School diploma and 5 years experience in a confidential administrative role ( Examples: HR Assistant, Executive Administrative Assistant, etc.)
