Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervises the running and maintenance of all Wet Lab equipment.
  • Maintain relationship with Production Operators, Technicians, Waste Treatment, and Engineering.
  • Effectively performs and reports chemical analysis results through lab software.
  • Responsible for tracking chemical analysis results in SPC software and identification of trends.
  • Responsible for Tag-out of process lines for chemical out-of-spec conditions.
  • Responsible for making chemical adds on weekends as needed to allow operations to run lines.
  • Responsible for interfacing with all suppliers of test equipment on maintenance and software support needs.
  • Determine appropriate test methods and proper analysis techniques based on specific process chemistry.
  • Responsible for ensuring proper safety requirements and practices are being followed by all persons in the lab areas.
  • ensure accurate and complete documentation of all test methods.
  • Resolves problems that are related to data collection, and distribution along with assisting in the successful resolution of technical problems.
  • Interfaces with many levels throughout the division in a professional manner.
  • Support off shift to provide vacation/sick coverage as needed.
  • Support Waste Treatment as needed by learning/certifying to the following systems:
    • Performs routine and as needed analysis of solutions from the wastewater treatment system in such a way as to maintain the effluent from the system in compliance with all local, state and federal regulations.
    • Performs chemical analysis for same.
    • Insures that facility is in compliance with solid hazardous waste regulations or RCRA (Resource Conservation Recovery Act).
    • Identifies chemical, mechanical, electrical conditions that affect or have the potential to affect the operations of the wastewater treatment system.
    • Operates and monitors incoming water treatment systems (softeners, RO and deionizers).
    • Prepares hazardous waste for shipment in compliance with U.S. Department of Transportation and U.S.E.P.A. regulations.
    • Cleans hazardous material containers prior to recycling or disposal.
    • Troubleshoots all water treatment systems and determines when to contact outside help.
    • Annual RCRA training/certification which is required by the EPA.
    • DOT (Department of Transportation) training required every 3 years.
  • Willing to cross-train outside of your designated work area and motivation to get and maintain certifications for support processes
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of basic chemistry including titration and pH analysis methods.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Education and Experience:

  • Two year degree in chemical science field of study or five years' experience running test equipment is preferred.
  • Experience running analytical chemical equipment and wet titrations is preferred.

Compensation for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, TTM provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that my be hired in New York, California and Colorado. For California-based roles, compensation ranges are based upon specific physical locations.

Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC including but not limited to: a) being able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents; b) recognition ofForeign Person visitors by badge differentiation; c) understand and follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL); d) understand the Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US; e) manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.
