Sr Tax Accountant

SENIOR TAX ACCOUNTANT

SUMMARY
With supervision and oversight, support for a wide variety of tax functions including tax reporting, tax compliance, the development of process and technology automation, SOX Compliance, research and planning.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Preparation of Quarterly and Annual ASC 740 and effective tax rate calculations.
  • Preparation of US Federal Consolidated Tax Return and other US Tax forms.
  • Assist in the development of process and technology automation in the Tax Department.
  • Administer tax preparation software (Thomson Reuters) for both income tax provision and compliance.
  • Monitor compliance with Corporate SOX procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain corporate Transfer Pricing documentation.
  • Research and Planning projects as needed on complex business and technical tax positions.
  • Respond to requests from Field personnel and Business Unit personnel.
  • Maintain Fixed Asset tax information and reporting.
  • Perform special projects as required.
  • Assist field locations with tax matters including provision, compliance and contract review.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • A four year College degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance mandatory, Masters in Accounting highly preferred, or other country equivalent.
  • A minimum of four (4) or more years of qualified experience in the area of US Federal Tax.
  • Intermediate expertise with One Source software (ProSystems is acceptable).
  • Intermediate expertise with Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook).
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, technical tax research materials and memos.
Ability to effectively communicate tax and financial information to a wide range of audiences in both written and verbal form.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to understand and utilize common financial and economic calculations.


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Certified Public Accountant license candidate.
