Come join our team as a Youth Justice Services Worker! PSG/CIP is a community-based social services organization looking for talented professionals like you to join our team. We are currently seeking dedicated individuals to fill the role of Youth Justice Services Worker in our Intensive Supervision Youth Competency Program (ISYCP).

ISYCP is designed to address the needs of youth adjudicated by juvenile court and whose behavior puts them at risk for an out-of-home placement. The Youth Justice Services Worker uses the concepts of positive youth development to provide services to help youth successfully complete their supervision, commit no new delinquent acts, improve decision making, and assist parents in establishing clear, consistent rules and age-appropriate expectations. The Youth Justice Services Worker monitors and supports youth, and assists in the follow-through and success of each youth's treatment. Services include individual, group, and/or family counseling; and structured activities, curfew checks, crisis intervention, school support, assessment, and service referrals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE YOUTH JUSTICE SERVICES WORKER:

  • Analyze client situations, capabilities, and problems to determine services required to meet the treatment needs of the client.
  • Create individual client treatment plans.
  • Facilitate treatment/educational group sessions for clients on a weekly basis.
  • Monitor client behavior by conducting in-person visits each workday.
  • Attend client/family court proceedings.
  • Organize and facilitate structured group, individual, and/or family activities.

LOCATION: Assigned caseload will work with clients located West of the I in Kenosha County. Local travel is required to meet with clients within the home or other community spaces, with mileage reimbursement. Position is housed out of our Sunnyside office in Kenosha, WI.

SCHEDULE: Hours are Monday-Friday between 8:00am-6:00pm, with one evening shift per week 1:00-9:00pm, and one Saturday per month 12:00-8:00pm.

SALARY: $22.00 per hour

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have reliable transportation on a daily basis, a valid driver's license, and automobile insurance.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or related.
