About The Role:

Howard Hughes is seeking a highly motivated communications expert to join our dynamic Culture+People team as a Sr. Manager, Employee Experience. The individual in this position will help spearhead and implement internal communications strategies, content creation, thought leadership development, and champion programs to bring Howard Hughes mission, vision, and guiding principles to life.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop and execute impactful internal communications strategies to support business goals and objectives, and employee engagement initiatives.

  • Lead implementation activities and develop processes, documentation, and communications forprogram/process rollout and ongoing support, emphasizing their vital integration into the business strategy in collaboration with the regions and employees.

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and departments in the strategic planning, design, implementation, and monitoring of Employee Culture Programs across all parts of the talent life cycle.

  • Develop strong relationships with leaders to gain a deep understanding of the business, driving inclusivity and other HR initiatives.

  • Actively contribute to the communication strategy, working closely with corporate communications to promote and highlight these HR programs.

  • Synthesize and effectively communicate complex information from many sources in written, visual, and verbal formats.

  • Support a fast-paced team and organization through change management by developing innovative communication strategies for internal programs, processes, and initiatives.

  • Work across the HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) to understand and articulate strategy within each functional area and to create cohesion and continuity among interrelated processes.

  • Contribute to the development and execution of strategies to enhance employee experience, utilizing data insights and innovative industry best practices to identify areas for improvement.

  • Collaborates with HR stakeholders, business segments, and corporate functions to communicate key initiatives and business priorities clearly and compellingly to diverse audiences.

  • Crafts innovative, engaging content, spanning leadership announcements, videos, slides, newsletters, printed materials, announcements, and employee inclusion communications.

  • Manages, develops, and maintains a corporate intranet site utilizing analytics to measure and improve effectiveness.

The ideal candidate

  • 5+ years of professional experience in communications or related field.

  • Excellent writing, editing and presentation skills.

  • Collaborate easily and effectively with all departments and regions.

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.

  • Strong understanding of the media landscape.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with experience working in a highly cross-functional or matrixed organization with a high degree of collaboration and process-driven environment.

  • A self-directed team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment; must be able to effectively manage both ambiguity and aggressive timelines for projects.

  • Must be deadline-focused, organized, and exhibit problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to interact and work collaboratively with colleagues across various departments, regions, and business units across various time zones.

  • Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Cloud.

  • Onsite presence required.
