Description

PRIMARY FUNCTION: Responsible for developing and implementing a high quality, comprehensive PLTW program that includes pre-engineering and technology related concepts and skills.


PRIMARY DUTIES:

Legend: E = Essential NE = Non-Essential N/A = Not Applicable

  1. Provide instruction in the areas of engineering, air and space, medical detectives, and related science concepts based on grade level standards and Project Lead the Way curriculum. E
  2. Provide instruction for other fine arts/science courses as needed for school programming needs. E
  3. Develop, submit, and implement weekly lesson plans. E
  4. Administer formal and informal assessments and analyze data to guide instruction. E
  5. Implement creative technology-based lessons that align with Project Lead the Way curriculum that are engaging and hands-on. E
  6. Attend PLTW course training(s) as determined by school leadership team.
  7. Establish and maintain good communication, collaboration, and cooperation with all parents, colleagues, administrators, etc. NE
  8. Implement the duties of a mandated reporter of suspected child abuse under current policies and procedures, as required. E
  9. Attend all meetings and professional development activities, as directed. NE
  10. Perform other duties as assigned. NE

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is generally performed in classroom and school environments. Some local/state-wide travel may be needed.


REPORTS TO: Administrator


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelor's degree in education, science, engineering, or other closely related field from an accredited University or College.

2. PLTW-Gateway coursework or ability to attend program training.

3. Valid WI DPI License in applicable area or ability to obtain a License with Stipulations (Emergency License).

4. Bilingual (Spanish and English), spoken and written. (Highly desirable)

5. Neat orderly person with great organizational skills.

6. Must be a "People Person" with a great disposition and outlook on life, who enjoys working with others, is upbeat and pleasant to work with and is a good listener.

7. Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office suite and have advanced computer skills including experience with coding, video production, operating systems.

8. Must be willing and able to work flexible hours as needed.

9. Excellent communication and documentation skills, written and verbal

10. Must pass all background checks.
