Job Description
How You'll Help Transform Healthcare:


Provides clerical and scheduling services necessary to the operation of the department.

  • Performs scheduling functions critical to the efficient operation of the department including generating working calendars for all team members, updating working calendars as necessary to reflect call in's or other scheduled/unscheduled absences.
  • Ensures appropriate hand-off of communication from various departments and physician offices to staff.
  • Collaborates with departments and physician practices staff to initiate a schedule on all new admissions. Accounts for all appointments to schedule, adding missed visits as needed. Reschedules missed appointments as appropriate.
  • Confirms accuracy and completion of scheduled appointments. Follows up appropriately on any cancellations.
What We Require:


Education: HS diploma or equivalent education required. Completion of an accredited medical secretarial or business program preferred. Computer and word processing knowledge and experience required.

Experience: One to three years of related experience required. Keyboarding skills essential and will be verified/validated through appropriate testing.

Other Minimum Qualifications: Effective interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills required. Must successfully complete orientation and competency validation for position. Above average organizational skills with attention to detail work. Strong skills in reading, writing, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and mathematical calculations.
