Summary of Job Duties:The Administrative Support Specialist is responsible for performing a wide variety of general office duties within an assigned department or program and may be functioning as a lead worker or working supervisor. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency policy.Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree
  • One year of experience in an office setting or related area to the work to be performed
  • Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for part of the requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Two years of experience of clerical experience and office setting or related area applicable to the work to be performed
  • Experience working in Slate, Banner and/or Workday

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process application documents, including transcripts, test scores, immunizations, and requisitions, and other financial documents.
  • Responsible for reviewing and correcting student records via audit reports on application processes and assisting with running data integrity queries and ensuring data accuracy; identifying duplicate records and providing support for record consolidation.
  • Assist with data migration from CRM to SIS.
  • Assist in presenting CRM training university-wide wide as the primary liaison for university departments with CRM-hosted applications.
  • Manage and update CRM prompts and fields to match current university standards; recommend changes to application processes to ensure operational efficiencies.
  • Assist with troubleshooting application process errors.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
  • Strong computer skills, including data entry, spreadsheet, and word processing programs.
  • Ability to learn new tasks quickly and to seek appropriate help and training when confronted with new tasks.

  • Ability to function successfully within a complex and potentially stressful environment, while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

Working Relationships: Position requires regular contact with college university staff and faculty, students, and the public.

Special Job Dimensions: Work performed primarily in an office setting. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly exhibits digital dexterity when entering data into computer. Required abilities include walking, standing, and sitting for extended periods. Visual demands include close, relatively detailed vision when focusing on a computer screen. Employee regularly talks and hears. Employee occasionally lifts items up to 50 pounds. The office is open to the public from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.


Salary Information:

$27,077.02/year
