Position Description

As the Senior Director of Commercial Service, your role will be to develop strategy to manage overall sales channel. You will plan and guide the work of multiple or large scale sales groups and create and implement marketing strategies and sales tactics to achieve budgeted sales, market share, and profit growth goals. Additionally, you will represent the unit to senior leadership of clients, the public, and/or senior management and engage in strategic planning of the allocation of work in complex business processes. You will report the unit's work to management and manage employee performance and professional development.

You will do this by:
  • Developingplans to meet overall goals for sales, market share and profit
  • Participatingin strategic and long-term planning for department, branch, or division
  • Leadingdevelopment of sales methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and people
  • Collaboratingwith the business to develop pricing, product strategies and manage sales channel conflict
  • Workingwith Sales Managers to analyze trends and potential within existing and new markets
  • Creatingstrategies surrounding new customer development.
  • Interactingregularly with executives and/or major customers
  • Directingthe work of groups of employees (leads through directors and managers)
  • Mentoringand trainingother sales staff
  • Performingother duties as assigned

Education
Bachelor's Degree in Business or Related field
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in sales or related field
  • Minimum five years of people management experience
Physical & Environmental Requirements
Moderate travel
