Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description
We have an outstanding career opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer to join a leading Company located in the Lancaster, NY surrounding area.
Salary Range: $65,000 - $80,000
Responsible for lean deployment and implementation, cost reduction development, production readiness for new programs, methods improvement, capital expenditure justification, plant layout, operational procedures, and special projects upon request.
Responsibilities:
- Manufacturing and continuous improvement programs
- Assist and drive flow improvement projects
- Work with design engineers on new product development, design for manufacturability, and house of quality deployment
- Project Expenditure Justification
- Analyze proposed requests for cost reduction or necessity for operation
- Work with suppliers to obtain equipment quotes
- Cost Reduction
- Analyze cost reduction possibilities and develop cost reduction proposals
- Develop cost comparison of present and proposed methods
- Implement cost reductions and follow-up to ensure attainment
- Conduct time studies to verify labor savings
- Documentation and Systems requirements
- Prepare and maintain operation sheets
- Process Engineering Change Orders
- Maintain documentation as required in MFGPRO
Basic Hiring Criteria:
- Bachelor's Degree - Engineering or Technical field with 5 years experience; related additional years of experience may be substituted for education
- Minimum five years in a general manufacturing environment preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience with lean deployment
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
- All applicants must be a US citizen or US Permanent Resident (i.e., Green Card Holder)
Desired Qualifications:
- Proficiency with CAD, autocad preferred
