Job Description

We have an outstanding career opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer to join a leading Company located in the Lancaster, NY surrounding area.

Salary Range: $65,000 - $80,000

Responsible for lean deployment and implementation, cost reduction development, production readiness for new programs, methods improvement, capital expenditure justification, plant layout, operational procedures, and special projects upon request.

Responsibilities:
  • Manufacturing and continuous improvement programs
    • Assist and drive flow improvement projects
    • Work with design engineers on new product development, design for manufacturability, and house of quality deployment
  • Project Expenditure Justification
    • Analyze proposed requests for cost reduction or necessity for operation
    • Work with suppliers to obtain equipment quotes
  • Cost Reduction
    • Analyze cost reduction possibilities and develop cost reduction proposals
    • Develop cost comparison of present and proposed methods
    • Implement cost reductions and follow-up to ensure attainment
    • Conduct time studies to verify labor savings
  • Documentation and Systems requirements
    • Prepare and maintain operation sheets
    • Process Engineering Change Orders
    • Maintain documentation as required in MFGPRO

Basic Hiring Criteria:
  • Bachelor's Degree - Engineering or Technical field with 5 years experience; related additional years of experience may be substituted for education
  • Minimum five years in a general manufacturing environment preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with lean deployment
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
  • All applicants must be a US citizen or US Permanent Resident (i.e., Green Card Holder)

Desired Qualifications:
  • Proficiency with CAD, autocad preferred
