Education and Experience Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required. 5 years of lead/supervisory experience. 5 years of aircraft interior installation experience. Airframe and/or Powerplant license or Repairman Certificate required.

Position Purpose:

Working in a leadership role, orchestrates the activities of all Completions shops, through the direction of the various leads responsible for those activities. Basing decisions on the Critical Path, plans and schedules work loads to ensure manpower and materials come together to support workflow targets. Provides technical counsel to engineering and management. Supports management in all Gulfstream goals and policy. Complies with all duties and responsibilities set forth in the repair station inspection manual and the standard operating procedures manual. Assists the Service Center, as required.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:
  1. Assists the manager in translating Completions goals into objectives and activities that are understandable and achievable by all leads and employees. By own example, sets standards for professionalism, communication, team building and recognition of team members.
  2. Acting through the departmental leads, guides the efforts of Continuous Improvement by employing the tools of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma to improve process, quality, cycle time and cost.
  3. Champions and ensures compliance on the issues of safety and 5S.
  4. Fosters an environment of cooperation, across all disciplines within his or her charge.
  5. Acting through the departmental leads, assigns and monitors the work load of each department to guarantee work is accomplished in an efficient and timely manner. .
  6. Ensures that department personnel are qualified and trained to perform work assignments.
  7. Ensures all work is accomplished in accordance with current approved technical data, including but not limited to: engineering drawings, maintenance manuals, service bulletins and airworthiness directives.
  8. Acts as a liaison between the leads, engineering, and management.

Additional Functions:
  1. Ensures daily accountability of the team. Verifies progress and quality throughout the day by routinely inspecting the work. .
  2. Acting through the Leads, ensures the maintenance of shop equipment and associated JSAs. .
  3. Responsible for assigned Critical Path milestones. Drives/leads daily work tasks and maintains a weekly schedule status. .
  4. Attends PDR and Project Reviews for assigned aircraft. Highlights new installations required. and strives to mitigate risk. .
  5. In support of aircraft certification and final phase testing, may include flight tests on aircraft as required. .
  6. Performs other duties as assigned. .

Other Requirements:
  1. Working from blueprints, verbal instructions, sketches, customer request, FAA and GAC specifications, possess the required. for understanding work plans, furniture layouts, sheetmetal components installations, and composite component work and installation.
  2. Possess the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics and technical information.
  3. Must be able to work any shift required. and to meet the business needs of the business. Also, must be able to wear all required. safety equipment.
  4. Possess strong written communication skills. Position requires incumbent to communicate in written form in a clear and concise manner.
  5. Possess strong verbal skills. Position requires incumbent to communicate verbally, via leading and participating in meetings, in a clear and concise manner.
  6. Utilize computer functions as required. to include CATIA, Kadie, Cas, and Corridor.
  7. Possess excellent problem solving skills.
  8. Possess leadership skills exhibited through prior experience.
  9. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
