St. Paul Academy and Summit School seeks candidates for the position of Payroll Coordinator.
Position Begins: June 2024
Status: .75 (30 hours per week) 9 AM- 3:30 PM, non-exempt, on-site, in person at our Randolph Ave. campus.

Position Summary
The payroll coordinator handles all day to day payroll responsibilities including performing all activities necessary to process a monthly and semi-monthly payroll and is solely responsible for completing all payroll related activities for approximately 200 benefited employees and up to 150 non-benefited employees. The payroll coordinator will also update and maintain employee information in the HRIS database.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Maintains payroll information by collecting, calculating and entering data
Updates payroll records including tax status, and regulatory garnishments
Compiles survey data for various surveys throughout the year
Responds to payroll related questions or requests, including requests for verifications of employment
Maintains time off records
Processes all athletic coaching agreements and payments
Onboards all part time hires including substitutes and athletic coaches
Assists employees with electronic time and attendance
Adheres to and implements payroll policies and procedures; reporting needed changes or process improvements
Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll and benefit operations by keeping information confidential
Supports finance and human resources with annual audits (financial, 403(b), work comp)
Maintains HRIS database information, updating employee demographics, department, location, time-off and leave tracking
Acts as a backup for basic benefit information
Assists employees with benefit enrollments, as needed
Assists HR Director in producing annual faculty and staff letter agreements
Maintains and ensures accurate reporting of all ACA data
Assists HR in reviewing and responding to unemployment claims
Minimum Qualifications
Three to five years payroll experience, preference in Paylocity
Associates degree or equivalent training and education beyond high school, CPP preferred
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Demonstrated computer aptitude with knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google docs, Gmail and a willingness to learn new software
Strong communication skills, written and verbal, including ability to interact with employees at all levels in a friendly and professional manner
