The primary purpose of this job is to plan, direct, and support community events and activities, including class topics, scheduling of classes, participating in creating community events quarterly, and adhering to community events standard operating procedures (SOP) as established by the brand.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Provide quality customer service is an essential component of every position within The GIANT Company.
* Participate in store or company events and promotions that project a positive brand image while promoting community events as directed by the marketing department.
* Maintain a high-level of awareness of current events and trends in the community.
* Review of application for room use via the phone, mail-in, in-store, or web forms.
* Evaluate and approve room registration applications according to approval guidelines.
* Review and adhere to adult and child supervision requirements as established by the state.
* Schedule approved room requests.
* Notify the applicant of room confirmation or decline.
* Generate invoices and arrange for payment of all requested services.
* Receive payment of services fee following scheduled events.
* Order and coordinate catering.
* Maintain inventory, order, and provision of office supplies, flip charts, etc., including secure any additional supplies or requests (i.e., floral).
* Provide and set-up audio or visual equipment.
* Provide clean-up of the room following use.
* Maintain condition of the community center lobby area, the community programming marquis area in marketplace, and the community room calendar information at customer service center.
* Train service center team members on the appropriate dialogue for customer inquiries regarding community programs and events.
* Be the contact person with the marketing manager of partners.
* Responsible for reviewing and posting emergency procedures.

* Ensure the security of children below the age of 18 while in the community room classroom setting.
* Be a liaison between the store and the community.
* Must follow established dress code of business professional.



QUALIFICATIONS

* Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
* Must be able to communicate and understand Company policies and safety regulations in order to complete job duties in a satisfactory manner.
* Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as the physical base scores for this position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
* Must meet the company performance standards for the job including but not limited to regular attendance.
* Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

* Shift hours: minimum 4-hour shifts or more depending upon business needs
* Job cycles: continual max
* Lift/carry: 50 lbs.
* Stand 55%, sit 0%, walk 45%
* Category IV: lifting, carrying, P/P up to 50 lbs.
* Max pull static: 20 lbs.


PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

* Team members are responsible for understanding company policy and procedures as promulgated in the policy and procedure manual and the team member handbook.
* Maintain current CPR and First Aid certifications.
