Position Compensation Range:

$109,000.00 - $186,000.00

The Auto Underwriting Analyst refines and introduces products and services in existing markets to improve auto underwriting results and eliminate leakage. You will deliver enhancements that improve bottom line results using contract language, underwriting rules/guidelines, third party report ordering, automation, and use of pricing/predictive analytics. Your constituents include Product Development, State Product Managers, Underwriting and Claims. You will also support and manage auto product performance by leveraging analysis, insights across a variety of internal and external sources to conduct root cause analysis. You will research solutions that inform recommended actions to improve profitability, growth and customer experience in support of annual profit and growth plans. You will create insights from intelligence about customer, market and competitors for problem solving and proactively monitoring trends in the market. You will be curious and investigative as you proactively seek opportunities. You will report to the Director, Product.

Primary Accountabilities:

  • You will be responsible for new business eligibility rules and alignment of those rules across operating companies
  • You will develop and manage the renewal underwriting process
  • You will generate and distribute reports to certain constituents
  • You will be responsible for Claims referral process improvement
  • You will find and eliminate premium leakage
  • You will report out on the RVP funnel
  • You will adjust policy language based on feedback from constituents

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience developing auto insurance product/line of business strategies, ideally in Underwriting, Claims or Agent's Offices.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing continuous process improvements.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence key stakeholders
  • Intermediate analytical skills required
  • Extensive experience leveraging customer, market, regulatory and competitor intelligence.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of product design, pricing and product management.
