The College of Health Sciences at the University of Arizona invites applications for a full-time, career track faculty position in the Physician Assistant program. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual who will contribute to the development of a dynamic academic environment. The successful candidate will join a team of committed educators in preparing the next generation of Physician Assistants (PAs) for excellence in clinical practice. The successful candidate will fulfill the responsibilities of a faculty member in an appropriate department, actively participate in teaching, clinical service and/or scholarly work, and must qualify for an appointment at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. This is a 12-month, full-time, career track clinical faculty appointment. The individual should hold a master's degree, preferably a doctorate. They should be a Certified Physician Assistant or have extensive experience in physician assistant education. PA Principal Faculty must hold current NCCPA certification, emeritus certification status, or an equivalent health professional degree and must be licensed or eligible to practice in the State of Arizona. They should have a minimum of 3 years clinical experience as a physician assistant. Faculty must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and should demonstrate consistency in interpersonal and leadership skills. Accepting a new position is a big life step.
