What you will accomplish as a Project Manager at TAPCO:

The fundamental responsibilities of this position are to manage and support projects of varying complexity and strategic importance within TAPCO, ensuring technical accuracy and on time delivery in alignment with TAPCO business objectives and customer expectations. This position will coordinate and direct activities of various departments within TAPCO and will enhance project management processes in support of the fundamental responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage assigned projects including made to order and engineered to order projects in accordance with TAPCO project management processes.
  • Develop detailed project schedules necessary to successfully design and deliver a solution that meets the requirements and quality expectations of each project accounting for design, material, and manufacturing resources.
  • Work with sales team to ensure project requirements (i.e. solution, pricing, schedule) are understood and accounted for in final project scope of work.
  • Work with Service team to ensure timely installation, commissioning in the field, and customer acceptance of TAPCO project deliverables upon completion.
  • Motivate project team members, resolve conflicts, and provide performance feedback to collaborating managers to ensure project timelines and customer expectations are met.
  • Maintain 90% confidence quote documents and material forecast to ensure required forms and information are in place to allow for timely order release.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of internal TAPCO processes to ensure compliance and proper execution of projects.
  • Work to continuously improve TAPCO project management processes in coordination with the Customer Experience Team and other functional teams.

Required Qualifications and KSA

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Projects), Adobe, SharePoint
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong ability to continually prioritize tasks to progress personal and support team tasks.
  • Process-oriented and disciplined.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, engineering and system design protocol, and post-sale installation procedures

Preferred Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Business, Technical Field, or equivalent professional experience in a similar industry
  • Two years or more of project management experience in manufacturing or a related industry
  • Prior experience with an ERP/MRP and CRM
  • PMP or CAPM certification preferred.
