Description:
Seeking a Network Engineer Consultant

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for designing, testing, implementing, and supporting network infrastructure
- Provide consultation and direct technical support in life cycle planning, problem management, integration, and network configuration
- Supports and administers firewall environments in line with IT security policy
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations
- Reports network operational status by gathering and prioritizing information and managing projects
- Performs basic configuration of firewalls
- Provides remote support of on-site engineers and end users/customers during installation
- Provides remote troubleshooting and fault finding if issues occur upon initial installation
- Communicates with customers via email and phone for initial requirement capture
- Undertakes data network fault investigations in local and wide area environments, using information from multiple sources
- Secures network systems by establishing and enforcing policies and defining and monitoring access
- Upgrades data network equipment to the latest stable firmware releases
- Configures routing and switching equipment
- Configures hosted IP voice services
- Performs capacity management and auditing of IP addressing and hosted devices within data centers
Requirements:
- 2-6 years of experience
- Recent and extensive knowledge of Cisco Catalyst 9K series switches
- Experience building switch from bare metal to most recent firmware, OS and configurations. Specific models we typically deploy are CAT 9300, 9300HX. 9500, and 9200 series
- Experience with Cisco Wi-Fi systems a plus but not required. Specifically 9166AP and 9800 series controllers
Desired skills:
- Experience with Cisco DNA Center required. Experience with switch deployments utilizing Cisco DNA center
- NetBrain experience
- Experience with Meraki deployment and configurations
