Requires the ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. independently and physical and manual dexterity to perform specialized technical tasks.
This position is posted at Vet Tech levels 1, 2 and 3. Level is determined by qualifications based on type of prior veterinary tech experience.
To qualify for Level 1: Entry level, new CVT grad or awaiting to sit for the CVT exam, or some CVT working experience with no specialization.
To qualify for Level 2: Generally, over 2 years of veterinary tech experience, may substitute years of experience for specialization.
To qualify for Level 3: Veterinary Tech Specialist (VTS), or highly qualified and specialized in a specific area, may have prior experience from another university hospital.

If unlicensed, must obtain Wisconsin licensure within your first 12 months of employment with UWVC
Hours generally scheduled Sunday & Monday, 4:30 PM-12:30 AM.
Potential for additional on-call hours as required by the hospital.
Position has future capability to open up to a Full-Time position in Intermediate Care Ward.
Full or Part Time: 40% - 100%
It is anticipated this position requires work be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location.

Sign on bonus of 5% of base pay (based on FTE) to be paid in two installments over first year of employment.
