Summary:

The Social Worker, LMSW will work a hybrid schedule providing services to patients and families coping with acute or chronic medical conditions at our Abilene Multispecialty Clinic. The Social Worker will provide ongoing supportive counseling to maintain families' functional behavior. The social worker assesses families for needed assistance with resource procurement to support the family's effort in caring for their child in an ambulatory care setting.

Work Type/Hours: Hybrid M - F 8 am - 4:30 pm. Candidate can be located in Abilene, Midland or San Angelo. Some travel may be required to outlying regional clinics in Amarillo, Lubbock, San Angelo, Midland, and Waco. Mileage reimbursed.


Education and Experience:

  • MSW or MSSW from an accredited school of Social Work.

  • Previous experience in a clinic or hospital setting preferred.

  • Experience working with children & families preferred.

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred but not required.

Certification/Licensure:

  • LMSW licensure with Texas Behavioral Health Council.

  • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for Health Care Providers within 30 days of employment.
