Position Overview

The Senior Solutions Architect, SAP will participate in the design of technology solutions that enable Exact Sciences business processes and functions. The Senior Solutions Architect, SAP contributes to the team by gathering high-level, strategic requirements and providing design solutions to keep alignment with key strategic principles of company architecture. At times, conflicts will arise between short-term and long-term goals and compromises will need to be structured. The Senior Solutions Architect, SAP will help propose different options for discussion and be responsible for helping the team come to a conclusion and documenting the details of those decisions. This role will provide deep technical partnership across Exact Sciences domains, understand the low-level details of system designs, and support the project team with strategic decision making, project planning, and participation in development as an engineering resource.

As a Senior Solutions Architect, SAP, you will be responsible for the overall design of our Plan-to-Report technology solution within Exact Sciences enterprise business application ecosystem. We are seeking a candidate with extensive experience in SAP S/4 HANA & Fiori applications related to the Finance and Accounting processes (FI-CO, FSCM, etc.), as well as experience with the integrated SAP modules, capabilities, and processes of Source-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash and Forecast-to-Finish.

Essential Duties

Include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Responsible for business systems design and configuration, and upgrades and improvements for high complexity applications.
  • Participate as a key member of the application's technical team and serve as a subject matter expert in the business use of assigned application and its needed use to meet short term company goals.
  • Contribute to application roadmap development and prepare application roadmaps and status reports for senior leadership.
  • Develop standards, practices, and reusable capabilities.
  • Discusses strategic direction and system enhancements of assigned application with business stakeholders and serve as a technical consultant.
  • Communicate and coordinate across department boundaries.
  • Create and deliver technical presentations.
  • Mentor junior analysts.
  • Contribute to application standards, best practices, and service designs.
  • Maintain application performance by planning and executing tuning strategies.
  • Monitor application systems; including, but not limited to, work processes, users, system logs, short dumps, locks, developer traces, system traces, and disk space.
  • Improve and enforce established industry standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Lead the planning and implementation of system upgrades and apply and migrate maintenance through all systems; including, but not limited to, support packages, enhancement packs, and kernel upgrades.
  • Execute daily operational activities to include, object transports, setup/configuration, operational monitoring, troubleshooting, error handling, performance/tuning, and problem determination/resolution.
  • Support project teams through detailed system analysis, requirements gathering, solution design, and project execution.
  • Work closely with internal application teams and external suppliers to articulate the proposed solution architecture and impacts to the current state.
  • Collaborate with IT business partner leaders and service delivery personnel to ensure that technical solution proposals are cohesive and support the business needs while integrating all necessary solution components to effect the desired change.
  • Participate in the build and test phases of projects, as needed.
  • Develop end-to-end solution processes by providing technical documents and estimates, cost estimations, implementation requirements, and alternative solutions to support the business case as well as provide any necessary adjustments, if re-architecture of solutions does not meet requirements.
  • Provide expert-level guidance and serve as a collaborator and backup with internal application administrators.
  • Lead the design document development and ensure the detailed solutions are consistent with the solution architecture and underlying intent.
  • Assist with and understand the architectural review processes to drive discussions regarding necessary modifications to project solution architecture to overcome design challenges or deviations observed in project design.
  • Oversee and validate the integration of supplier testing plans, broker effective communication between suppliers, architects, or other stakeholders to resolve test issues, or provide technical support for transitioning projects/changes into production.
  • Interface with end users to discuss technology solution options and ensure system functionality is effectively enabling business processes.

  • Ability and means to travel between local Exact Sciences locations.
  • Ability to travel 5% of working time away from work location, may include overnight/weekend travel.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field as outlined in the essential duties; or High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 4 years of relevant experience as outlined in the essential duties in lieu of Bachelor's Degree.
  • 10+ years of experiencedevelopingor configuring technology solutions.
  • 5+ years of experience applyingknowledge ofrelevant systems domains.
  • Demonstrated success with relationship management.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply and implement industry best practices.
  • Strong computer skills to include internet navigation and email usage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with amazon web services (AWS) and data integration.
  • Expert-level knowledge and skills with SAP FI-CO modules and configuration, as well as integrated modules (i.e. SD, MM, PP) and related Fiori apps.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Plan-to-Report business processes.
  • Experience deploying Fiori.
  • Experience working with OneStream CPM solution.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative to drive change and value to the organization.
  • Excellent communication skills with all levels of the organization, ability to adjust communication accordingly.
  • Experience working in a healthcare related industry.

Salary Range:

$129,000.00 - $208,000.00

The annual base salary shown is for this position located in US - WI - Madison on a full-time basis. In addition, this position is bonus eligible, and is eligible to receive company stock upon hire as well as annually.
