JOB OVERVIEW

Overall responsibilities include receiving, distribution, and shipping of products from inventory and WIP to internal customers as well as staging finished products to be packaged and shipped to Robinson's external customers. The Coordinator implements and evaluates process changes and improvements that affect the handling, shipping, and receiving teams, which includes working with other departments to improve material move methods to both internal and external customers. This position also directs members of the Shared Service Support staff to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with EHS Manager to comply with OSHA standards.
  • Ensure product is received into the ERP system efficiently and accurately, including general visual inspections, counting of product, and documenting tasks as needed.
  • Coordinate and perform material moves from inventory and WIP locations to and from work centers ensuring material needs are met throughout the facility in a safe, efficient manner.
  • Count, protect, package, and process products for shipments between different Robinson locations, vendors, and final customers; work with vendors and customers to facilitate.
  • Continuously evaluate material flow practices between work centers and implement change as needed.
  • Take ownership in the development of processes and procedures to increase material flow and on time delivery to internal and external customers.
  • Work with production leadership to identify workloads of each department and then assign resources accordingly.
  • Work with Project Managers to ensure customers' expectations are met and exceeded.
  • Encourage company initiatives like safety, LEAN manufacturing practices, FIFO, and 6S.
  • Train and support Shared Service personnel to reach desired goals and objectives.
  • Maintain necessary clerical records pertinent to the function of the position.
  • Identify priorities and facilitate the organization's success in completing tasks.
  • Coordinate the cross training of Shared Service members to create a cross functioning team.
  • Implement and establish new processes, software, and other ideas for the team.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • Experience with a Windows-based computer system.
  • Ability to operate a forklift in conjunction with all safety rules and regulations.
  • Ability to read and comprehend documents such as sales orders, slips, inventory records, and receiving documents.
  • Ability to write standard documentation and present information to other employees in the organization.
  • Prior experience as expeditor, material coordinator, shipping and receiving personnel, or similar in manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to see the organization's larger goals and objectives.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • 1-3 years' experience.
  • Experience with an ERP such as Syteline or CSI.
  • Good references with excellent work attendance and attitude.
  • Mathematical and analytical skills, along with a keen sense of attention to detail.
  • Professional conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and problem solve.
  • Able to prioritize tasks and responsibilities.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Highly organized.
  • Deadline orientated.
  • Strong 6S background with sound material flow practices, including F.I.F.O.
  • Ability to implement, train and operate in a barcode scanning, inventory traceability environment.
  • Microsoft Office Suite competency, particularly Excel and Word
