Job Description

We areSystems, LLCa leading manufacturer and designer of loading dock equipment.Wecontinue to GROW and are seeking a motivated team player to join our organization.

Job Summary:

As a Buyer I, you are expected to place new orders per requisitions and schedule / reschedule open orders to align to production needs; ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, and utilize MRP report to assess demands and ensure delivery requirements are met and that there are no gaps in production needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

  • 2+ years of experience in purchasing or planning

  • Working knowledge of ERP systems

  • Working knowledge of MRP

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with commodities relevant to Systems' product line

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Place new orders per requisitions and schedule / reschedule open orders to align to production needs; ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

  • Utilize MRP report to assess demands and ensure delivery requirements are met and that there are no gaps in production needs

  • Maintain production levels by expediting materials delivery; control inventory levels by de-expediting materials delivery and ensure that inventory levels are within specified KPIs

  • Work with suppliers in order to solve invoicing issues that could cause payment delays to suppliers or credit holds

  • Ensure that the cross-dock provider's on hold report as well as the warehouse receiving discrepancy are addressed in a timely manner; collaborate with suppliers as needed on resolutions

  • Maintain master data and ensure accuracy

  • Maintain and keep an accurate open order base report and vendor confirmation acknowledge for all open orders

  • Assist with inventory analysis, planning, etc as required by business needs and product mix
