Description

Scope of Work:

Develops, writes and processes warranties with accuracy. Verify warranty coverage and develop estimates. Maintain customer rapport and records. Ensure that customer needs are fulfilled.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Promptly respond to customer inquiries
  • Take detailed notes with regards to warranty issues
  • Verify warranty status and coverage by examining records, and explain provision and exclusions
  • Develop, write and process warranties with accuracy
  • Handle warranty requests in compliance with both company standards and legal requirements
  • Develop accurate estimates and explain estimates to customers
  • Insure recall notifications are initiated properly
  • Handle shipment of defective parts, arrange for delivery of replacements a or receipt of credit
  • Communicate with manufacturers, secure replacement parts and repairs for defective merchandise
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have a High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must have a minimum of 4 year(s) previous experience working with warrant/service

Requirements: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Display strong written and oral communication skills
  • Detail oriented, good problem solving skills, strong organizational skills
  • Display excellent customer service skills
  • Highly motivated self-starter with ability to multitask and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines
  • Ability to build and maintain customer relationships
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

  • Typical hours of work Monday through Friday; 8m. to 5 p.m. (Flexible hours, days and weekends when necessary)
  • Minimal travel may be required, with overnight stay
  • Sitting; occasional bending or kneeling; lift and carry a maximum 30 Lbs., reach overhead for lightweight items
  • Office work
