The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine is seeking a Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Advanced Practicing Provider. Candidates should have an interest in academic medicine and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. This position will be 100% clinical billable. Primary responsibilities include working collaboratively with Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility physicians and providing comprehensive care to patients.

Essential Functions
  • Primary responsibilities include working collaboratively with Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility physicians and providing comprehensive care to patients.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic tests.
  • Prescribe appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of interventions.
  • Maintain accurate medical records.
  • Collaborate with other providers and members of the health care team in delivery of care and make appropriate referrals when needed.
  • Educate patients and families about medical conditions and treatment plans.
  • Facilitate staff, patient, and family decision making using evidence-based practice
  • Participate in research and development projects for the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Participate in education of nurse practitioners, nurse practitioner students and medical students.
  • Perform history and physical examinations in the inpatient and outpatient setting; write progress notes and narrative discharge summaries
  • Order laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures; explain the necessity, preparation, nature and anticipated effects of scheduled diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to the patient
  • Prescribe necessary treatment and services for quality patient care.
  • Prescribe appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities.
  • Maintain accurate medical records.
  • Participate in basic science and clinical research projects conducted by supervising physician; prepare statistical reports and analyses setting forth progress, adverse trends, and appropriate recommendations or conclusions.
  • Participate in teaching medical students and physician assistant students in techniques and procedures which are unique to specific clinical setting.

Minimum Requirements

For Nurse Practitioners:

Required Education

  • Master's degree in nursing and graduation from an ANA approved Nurse Practitioner Program.

Required Trainings/Certifications

  • Active Ohio APRN license with prescriptive authority.
  • Active Board Certification in appropriate nursing specialty.

Required Experience

  • Three (3) years nursing experience.
  • Additional related work experience may be required depending on specialty/sub-specialty.

For Physician's Assistants:

Required Education

  • Master's Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.

Required Trainings/Certifications

  • Active Ohio Physician Assistant license with prescriptive authority.
  • Certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.

Required Experience

  • Minimum of one (1) year experience is required.
  • Additional related work experience may be required depending on specialty/sub-specialty.
