Our Security Enterprise Solutions (SES) team at Leidos currently has an opening for a Testing and Quality Assurance - Inspector to work in our Ladson, SC facility. As a member of the Leidos Security Enterprise Solutions (SES) team, you will be joining a diverse and dedicated group who are excited about producing industry leading screening technology. Our new Ladson, SC facility will produce a comprehensive suite of fully automated and integrated products for aviation, shipping ports, border crossings, and critical infrastructure customers. These systems provide threat detection by screening baggage, cargo, and people at checkpoints around the world.

This is your opportunity to support organizational change, involvement with continuous improvement projects, support new product introductions, and lead inspector related activities.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Execution of required inspections to ensure product quality standards are maintained.
  • Recommendation of measurement devices to carry out required inspection related activities.
  • Support calibration efforts and ensure that measurement devices are current.
  • Interpretation of engineering drawings, material specifications, manufacturing work orders, test plans, and bills of materials.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standards and ability to support internal audits (as required).

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent experience with 2-4 years prior relevant experience.
  • Must have the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance and obtain other clearances (e.g.; secret clearance) as needed (US citizenship required).
  • Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) training to understand engineering drawings and tolerances.
  • Experience with completing ANSI Z1.4 inspections and product sampling plans.
  • Understanding of Electro-Static Discharge (ESD) practices and IPC related standards for printed circuit boards (PCBs)
  • Familiarity of wide range of measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, plug gauges, etc.
  • Microsoft office suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Skills related to use of Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs)
  • Statistical Process Control (SPC) techniques such as control charting and assessing of process capability

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Lean Six Sigma certification - White / Yellow belt minimum.
  • Advanced Excel skills Data Analysis and Charting.

Pay Range:Pay Range $44,850.00 - $81,075.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
