As an Evening Lifeguard at the Green Bay Kroc Center, you're on deck during the times when swim lessons teach life-saving skills, underwater hockey enthusiasts challenge the depths, and families create aquatic memories. Your key role includes monitoring activities, providing assistance, and enforcing safety regulations, especially during classes and open swim hours. Adhering to the State of Wisconsin approved aquatic staffing plan, you'll ensure a secure aquatic environment during the evening programs. General facility maintenance and cleaning duties will also be part of your responsibilities. Join us in the evening shift to be the watchful guardian of aquatic fun and safety. Hours for this position will primarily be in the afternoon and evenings when are pool reopens from the midday break at 4pm.

SUMMARY/PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The Lifeguard will assist with the implementation of programs, special events, and swim lessons. The Lifeguard will also monitor activities, observe and provide assistance to swimmers, prevent accidents, protect life and enforce regulations. The Lifeguard will also ensure they are positioned in accordance with the State of Wisconsin approved aquatic staffing plan. Position is also required to assist with general facility maintenance and perform other maintenance and cleaning duties as assigned.

The primary duties of this job take place in a busy public Aquatics Center. The noise level will be high. Temperatures will be above normal room temperature in a high-humidity environment. This position will have exposure to chemicals and fumes typically found in a pool environment, as well as exposure to bodily fluids and other potentially infectious materials.
For other duties of this job, such as outdoor special events and community center activities, the employee may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment at these events is usually moderate to loud.
The schedule for the department requires employees to work weeknights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
We are looking for energetic, fun, and kid-loving people who love jumping, twisting, and flipping through challenging obstacle courses! Martial Arts/Parkour/Tumbling experience is a plus but willing to train for the right fit. Classes focus on skills related to coordination, agility, strength, and speed for a unique sports experience. This is a part-time position with up to 18 hours per week. Must be available evenings as needed.
