Salary Range: $39.00/Hr. - $45.00/Hr.

Overview:

One of our terrific government services clients in the Brentwood, TN area has an immediate opportunity for a contract-to-hire Network Analyst II. This will be mostly onsite (Monday-Thursday, remote Friday) during the contract period, and will have the opportunity be hybrid once perm. (Onsite 3 days a week, remote 2 days a week). This company offers great benefits after the contract period ends, and has excellent opportunities for growth into other roles, as well as obtaining certifications through working with them!

As a network analyst II, this individual will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization's computer networks and will work closely with other IT professionals to ensure that network infrastructure meets the needs of the organization and adheres to security standards. The role will involve troubleshooting network issues, optimizing network performance, and staying up to date with emerging technologies.

Responsibilities:
  • Network Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues related to connectivity, latency, and bandwidth utilization.
  • Network Infrastructure Management: Maintain and administer network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
  • Network Security: Implement and maintain security measures to protect the network infrastructure from unauthorized access, data breaches, and other security threats.
  • Network Design and Optimization: Participate in the design and optimization of network architecture to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain documentation of network configurations, procedures, and standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams, such as systems administrators, security analysts, and software developers, to ensure seamless integration of network services with other IT systems.
  • Incident Response: Respond to network-related incidents and participate in incident response activities to minimize downtime and mitigate risks.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are a plus.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in network administration or a related field, with a focus on network troubleshooting and infrastructure management.
  • Proficiency in networking protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, DHCP, DNS, etc.
  • Experience with network hardware and software including routers, switches, firewalls, and network management tools.
  • Knowledge of network security best practices and technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and encryption.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark, Nagios, or SolarWinds.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues to achieve common goals.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changes in the IT environment.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail in network configurations, documentation, and troubleshooting processes.
