https://engineering.uark.edu/Summary of Job Duties:The Career Engagement Coordinator will manage the daily operations of various career readiness initiatives for special populations as a part of the Engineering Career Connections (ECC) team. The coordinator will research and execute career development programs for ECC. This position will also develop and manage appropriate marking plans for these initiatives and programs. With team support, this position will engage students in the career development process and facilitate communication between the student and ECC. The Career Engagement Coordinator will also evaluate and assess initiative and program effectiveness.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education
  • Experience working in higher education (or similar areas) in a part-time or full-time capacity

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution of higher education institution
  • At least one year of experience working in higher education or similar area
  • Career development experience in a higher education setting or similar area
  • Experience managing and facilitating programs
  • Experience working with students from special populations (i.e., low GPA, international, low-income, etc.)
  • Knowledge of career management software (i.e., Handshake, Simplicity, etc.)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Strong communication skills: written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to demonstrate strong passion and enthusiasm for assisting students in achieving career and educational goals
  • Strong creativity and innovation skills
  • Event planning
