Food Service Operator (Seasonal)

Seasonal, Hourly

Hourly Range: $17.62 - $19.79/hr (plus tips!)

Job Summary

Provide day-to-day concessions of a designated unit. Responsible for equipment and facility maintenance; oversee cash handling and revenue collection process. Ensure consistent and quality delivery of goods and services and to maximize revenue opportunities. Preserve and enhance department assets.

Work Schedule: Employee must have availability to work days, evenings, overtime, weekends, and shift rotations as needed.

Job Responsibilities

  • Operations Management - Oversee the day-to-day operations to include quality food and beverage preparation, menu planning and pricing. Monitor monthly inventory and cost control measures.
  • Personnel Management - Recommend hiring of concessions seasonal staff and provide guidance and direction for job assignments. Assist with performance appraisals, training, and workforce development opportunities.
  • Cash Handling - Complete daily log and cash reports. Oversee proper cash handling procedures and petty cash management.
  • Administrative - Complete schedules, new hire paperwork and daily reports. Manage inventory, order products for services and code invoices.
  • Ability to properly and safely operate: kitchen equipment, computers and general office equipment.
  • Ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Education, License/Certification and Experience

  • Valid Driver's License required and must be maintained throughout employment
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalency required
  • One (1) year or more work experience in Food Service or Customer Service required
  • One (1) year or more work experience in a Supervisory or Management role required
  • Associate degree or higher in Parks & Recreation, Hospitality or closely related field preferred
  • Previous Catering experience preferred
