Our team is looking to hire for one of our most senior Retail territories. In this role, you will leverage your lengthy experience in sales to expand to new business units and teams within existing accounts, establish new executive relationships, and solve business and technical challenges for a named list of clients.

Your role will encompass prospecting, developing, and closing business within a timely manner while focusing on the clients' requirements. The role also involves strategic account planning, executive mapping, creative problem solving, and being able to communicate complex ideas in simple terms.

AS AN ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE ON OUR RETAIL INDUSTRY TEAM AT SNOWFLAKE, YOU WILL:
  • Be an expert on Snowflake's platform, the Retail industry, and the broader partner ecosystem
  • Be the trusted advisor to your clients by understanding their existing and future IT roadmap, making recommendations, and driving the successful utilization of Snowflake's platform
  • Prospect, conduct discovery calls, uncover client challenges, and identify new opportunities for Snowflake's platform
  • Establish ongoing revenue streams for Snowflake's platform and expand into new opportunities within your territory
  • Achieve sales quotas within your accounts on a quarterly and annual basis by developing account plans, territory strategies, executive engagement, partner relationships, and driving usage across the platform
  • Work closely with Snowflake's cross functional teams, including industry specialists, sales engineering, value engineering, professional services, marketing, legal and finance.
ON DAY ONE, WE WILL EXPECT YOU TO HAVE:
  • 10+ year's sales experience selling to enterprise-level accounts
  • Consistently exceeded multi-million dollar annual revenue targets within a list of named accounts
  • Demonstrable experience sales experience within at least one of the following spaces: Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, Data Science, AdTech/MarTech, Retail Media Networks, Data Clean Rooms, or AI/ML
  • Experience within the Retail space selling to brands directly is strongly preferred
  • Extensive experience negotiating, navigating multiple stakeholders, and closing business within large, enterprise organizations
  • Extensive experience with solution-based selling, experience managing long, complex sales cycles and navigating large client organizations
  • Experience building and maintain relationships across your clients, including C-level executives
  • Experience prospecting and engaging new business units to consistently generate pipeline and ensure healthy quarterly pipeline coverage
  • Proven ability to build and execute comprehensive account plans for your territory, develop a deep understanding for your client's business, and achieve success for your clients and Snowflake
  • Willingness to travel to clients, conduct onsite meetings, QBRs, and host client events on a regular basis
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and listening skills
  • Ability to provide open, honest and respectful feedback contributing to an inclusive work environment
  • The ideal candidate for this role lives in the Midwest or Eastern region

The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role:

  • This role is eligible to participate in Snowflake's commission plan and it is common for employees in this role to receive total on-target earnings of $346,500 - $385,000. The estimated base salary for this role is $173,250 - $192,500.
  • Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake's equity plan.

The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location. This role is also eligible for a competitive package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k) retirement plan; flexible spending & health savings account; at least 12 paid holidays; paid time off; parental leave; employee assistance program; and other company benefits.
