Job Summary:

The Department of Orthopedics & Rehabilitation is recruiting a faculty member to join our department to provide care within our Bone Health Optimization clinic. This position will further develop and enhance our department's osteoporosis management care, including enhancing collaboration with sub-specialty surgeons and cross-departmental stakeholders in this multi-disciplinary clinic.

The department consists of over 50 faculty physicians and 50 advanced practice providers. Our orthopedic program has been consistently ranked #1 in Wisconsin and in the top 50 hospital programs in the United Stated by U.S. News & World Report.

Responsibilities:

Primary duties include providing outpatient clinical care with a focus on osteoporosis management. This position will be the primary faculty member in our Bone Health Optimization Clinic, working in collaboration with two advanced practice providers to develop and expand this clinic. Teaching of medical students, residents and fellows within the context of clinical practice will be expected.

Qualifications:

Completion of accredited orthopedic surgery residency program.

American Board of Orthopedic Surgery Board Certified or Board Eligible

Must be eligible for enrollment as a UW Health billing provider and able to obtain all necessary hospital privileges.

For an appointment at Clinical Associate Professor or Clinical Professor rank on CT Track, candidates will meet criteria established by the department and as outlined in the School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for promotion or appointment to Associate or Professor on the CT Track.

Work Type:

Part Time: 60%

It is anticipated this position requires work be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location.

Additional Information:

The selected applicant will be responsible for ensuring their continuous eligibility for employment in the United States on or before the effective date of the appointment.
