Job Description
We are currently looking for a collaborative, analytical, and detail-oriented senior accounting professional to join our accounting team in our Milwaukee home office as an Accounting Manager.

Here’s what you’ll do:
  • Analyze processes and propose improvements to maximize efficiencies, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Partner with our General Managers to fully manage all budgeting, accounting, financial statements, variance, etc., for each assigned market.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, company procedures, as well as all local management agreements and leases.
  • Prepare and post full month-end close cycle journal entries.
  • Reconcile bank and merchant accounts, balance sheets, and external reports and subledgers to the general ledger.
  • Prepare client monthly management reports and internal financial statements.
  • Calculate monthly distributions for lot owners and clients.
  • Prepare monthly sales and use tax returns.
  • Participate in internal audits involving review of accounting and administrative controls.

Here’s what we’re looking for:
  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting is required, CPA certification is preferred.
  • Energetic and self-motivated individuals who are looking to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial organization.
  • Five or more years of experience managing accounting activities in a high volume, point of sales, geographically distributed business environment (e.g., retail).
  • Experience reading, understanding, and applying contracts to accounting work.
  • Desire to create innovative solutions, manage projects, and design processes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to partner with our operations team.
