Work Schedule:

100% FTE, day/evening shift. Monday - Friday 7:00AM - 3:30PM. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

Our Maintenance and Engineering Services team is dedicated to repairing both critical and non-critical equipment, building structures and support systems that are integral to maintaining a safe and reliable healthcare environment.

We are seeking a Sheet Metal Worker:

  • Layout sheet metal projects including design and layout and organizing materials.
  • Perform welding including GTAW and GMAW with various types of metals.
  • Install, test and inspect fire dampers.
  • Offer creative and custom metalworking.

Education:

Minimum - High School Diploma or GED. Five year sheet metal apprenticeship

Work Experience:

Minimum - Two years' service work experience and construction / installation of mechanical systems.

Preferred - Three years' experience with sheet metal work in a hospital setting.

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum -

* Journeyman certificate in Sheet Metal.

* Valid driver's license in the person's state of residence.

o Must be 21 years of age or have three (3) years of driving experience to operate a Patient/Visitor Vehicle or UW Health Vehicle other than a golf cart or utility terrain vehicle
