Job Description

This position is a vital point of contact for patient entering Hudson Hospital. The position facilitates the process of scheduling appointments and has a responsibility for accurate collection of current financial and demographic information. This position provides customer service to patients, family members, and visitors. This position is responsible for a variety of clerical functions including pre-authorization, insurance verification, scanning of documents, monitoring work queues, communication with other departments and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Previous computerized patient registration, scheduling, or admitting experience required. Registrar proficiency required within 6 months of hire.
  • Computer experience and competency with Microsoft Office software products. Proficiency in staff scheduling software required within 3 months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree preferred
  • Previous demonstrated customer service experience preferred
