Job Description
Position Title: Mill Operator
Wage: $25-$32/hour
Shift: 1st
Hours: Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm

Mill Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Ensure that all materials are accurately weighed and mixed to produce a quality product
- Keep the mill room in a clean-safe working order
- Offer solutions to quality problems and report quality issues to the proper authorities
- Review production schedule and mixing requirements
- Mix material on a mill following written or verbal instructions
- Remove material from the mill to comply with requirements of production
- Identify mixed material with the proper information
- Clean the Mill Area as required to eliminate contamination
- Submit samples for testing
- Arrange stock in the warehouse to ensure proper handling and usage
- Use the following equipment: mill, barwell, extruder, bale cutter, Fork truck, and scales
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Mill Operator Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years of manufacturing experience
- Moderate lifting, carrying, bending, pushing/pulling, and prolonged standing
- Lift up to 90lbs and carry up to 25lbs
- May sit most of the time depending on the work
- Able to make decisions concerning acceptance of product based on written, verbal, and visual criteria
- Provide good judgment as to how much time is required for each job
- Good written and verbal communication skills
