Position Title: Maintenance Technician

Wage: $22.70+/hour

Shift: 2nd

Hours: 2:00pm - 10:00pm

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:
- Observe mechanical devices, equipment and machinery in operation, diagnosing machine malfunction and determine need for adjustment, repair or replacement
- Study blueprints, sketches, machine parts or specifications
- Dismantle machinery and/or equipment to gain access to and remove defective parts
- Examine form and texture of parts to detect imperfections
- Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements
- Adjust functional parts or devices and control instruments
- Repair or replace defective parts
- Install special functional and structural parts in devices
- Coordinate with manager and assist with production operator's timely preventative maintenance and predictive parts replacement and repair
- Set up and operate drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts
- Repair electrical equipment or replace faulty wiring, switches, or relays
- Initiate purchase orders for parts, repairs or replacement equipment or pieces
- Monitor paper recycling operations and performs minor repairs and coordinate outside service with manager for major repairs and operation malfunctions

Requirements for Maintenance Technician:
- One-year certificate from college or technical school and 5+ years of related experience and/or training or any equivalent combination of education and experience
- Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Demonstrated skills in leadership, organization and communication
- Able to anticipate problems and implement appropriate preventative measures
- Able to develop new techniques for work processes
- Able to lift up to 50lbs
- Manual dexterity and coordination
